Synergy Graphics is a design studio based in Albany, on the stunning south coast of Western Australia. Founded in 2003 by principal designer Nicola Edwards, we’ve grown into a small but talented team - creating bold, thoughtful design for businesses of all sizes, not-for-profits, and government organisations.
We believe great design is about clear communication. Every business has something unique to offer—and our job is to make sure that message gets seen and understood across print, digital, signage and social media.

We believe in giving back to the community that supports us and through select sponsorships and design contributions, we help local organisations and initiatives make an impact. While we do love supporting our community, as a business, we need to be selective about where we direct our sponsorship.

At Synergy Graphics, we love supporting our community—but as a business, we need to be selective about where we direct our sponsorship. To help us make fair and sustainable decisions, we’ve set some simple criteria:
Relevance & Support – We prioritise sponsorships for groups, organisations, or events that have shown support for Synergy Graphics, our business, or our team members. This could be through past collaborations, referrals, or ongoing engagement with our services.
Recognition & Exposure – In return for sponsorship, we expect appropriate recognition. This includes logo placement on promotional materials, social media mentions, and other agreed-upon acknowledgements, depending on the level of support provided.
Target Audience Alignment – We look for sponsorships that align with our audience and brand. If your organisation, event, or initiative reaches businesses, creatives, or industries relevant to what we do, we’re more likely to say yes.
Community & Social Impact – We love being part of initiatives that make a real difference. If your event or organisation contributes positively to the community, that’s a big plus.
Exclusivity & Competing Sponsors – To avoid conflicts of interest, we may not be able to sponsor organisations that already work with direct competitors or have sponsors that conflict with our values.
Professionalism & Reputation – We value partnerships with organisations that operate professionally and uphold a positive reputation in the community.
Alignment with Our Values – Your request should align with Synergy Graphics’ core values, including creativity, integrity, and community support.

Hi! I’m Nicola Edwards, Graphic Designer and founder of Design Studio Synergy Graphics.
Since the age of 14, I knew I wanted to be a Graphic Designer. I loved visualising designs and transferring them onto paper or the computer - and, as it happened, I was good at it!
After gaining my qualifications in New Zealand, I moved to Albany where I began designing for a printing business as well as the local newspaper.
I started Synergy Graphics in 2003, as a way to help smaller local printers, whose team didn’t extend to Graphic Designers. It was a bit of a side hustle back then - an opportunity to increase my income while enjoying the safety net of a secure salary! At this stage I lacked the confidence and networks to take it full time.
This all changed however, after taking a year to sail round the world in the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race. Life was a lot simpler on board the 70ft yacht and there was plenty of time to think! I knew I now had the skills, the networks, and a supportive client base - as well as the drive and determination to give it a try, but now - I also had the confidence!
So… in November 2018, I took a leap of faith that saw me take Synergy Graphics full time.
It wasn’t all that much of a leap as it turns out! My loyal clients supported me and became my biggest cheerleaders - and with word spreading, the work kept coming in! I was terrible at saying no, and the business grew. Before long, I was over capacity and working crazy hours. This is not why I started the business, and it was definitely not sustainable - something needed to change! It took me three years to finally admit I couldn’t do it all myself!
This is when Katie joined the team, to cover admin and client relations, as well as work on the big list of things I had always planned for the business, but client work had taken priority.
We were beginning to outgrow the home office, so I started looking at office space in town. I found a perfect little space that we could make our own. I designed the internal layout, project managed the build and in mid-May 2022, we moved into Synergy Graphics’ new home!
Synergy Graphics is now a vibrant little graphic and website design studio with a great team, helping other small businesses and organisations to Get noticed.
